There are a total of six acrylic paintings, which portray the daily life of a people who make a living from work. A people facing daily difficulties, families unite and gather what little they can to guarantee food. The younger ones go to school and when they come back they don't play video games, they see this on TV, they have to help with the housework. The oldest ones are mostly the proletarian class, bricklayers, bakers, public transport collectors, mechanics, etc. They leave in the morning and there is no departure time. And if they do, they struggle to get home before 10 pm, eat, sleep and wake up to the same routine. With or without difficulties, these people smile and thank God for life, for the air, for the daily bread and, above all, for their health. This is the Mozambican people that surround me in the Aeroporto neighborhood.

Biography

João Timane was born in Maputo, on 1991, he’s since early, a promisor youth in Plastics Arts world.

He attended to Visual Arts National School in Maputo.

He has taught artistic painting to children of Aeroporto Neighbourhood, expired on the great master Malangatana ideas, in Maputo, Mozambican city where he lives.

He participated in several Collective Exposition and so far he did three individual painting Expositions.

He illustrated posters, more than tenth book covers and his brains, he also illustrated magazines covers such as, OMNIRA, Loose Arts and Between Minds, both Brazilians.

He’s a member in Maputo Nucleus of Art.

Recently he is attending a Marketing Curse at High Institute of Communication and Image in Maputo.
